Most salmon farmers evaluate feed on FCR, price, and palatability. But there's one biological question almost nobody asks — and it might be the most important. We look at why two feeds with nearly identical FCRs can have dramatically different impacts on fish biology, and what proteomics is starting to reveal about the gap between growth metrics and what's actually happening underneath.
